According to the latest weather reports, it looks like Austria is going to experience a significant amount of snowfall in the coming days. We’ve had to wait for it and the conditions haven’t been perfect recently, but a thick blanket of snow is expected in areas of the Alps. Up to one meter of snow is forecasted within the next two weeks. This is great news for skiers and snowboarders as it will provide some much-needed powder snow for the slopes.
The snowfall will start in the French and Italian Alps, before moving on to Switzerland and many parts of Austria. Snow is expected to fall throughout the week, and temperatures will fluctuate significantly. With a bit of luck, the villages will also look beautifully white.
While the snow will be a welcome sight for winter sports enthusiasts, it’s important to remember to prepare properly for the colder weather and slippery conditions. Warm clothing, hats, gloves, and scarves, and most importantly, a set of snow chains or winter tires on your vehicle if you plan on driving in the snow.
The upcoming snowfall in Austria is extremely welcome. The fresh powder snow will provide ideal conditions for skiing and snowboarding. Check out the current weather information in Neukirchen am Grossvenediger and the Wildkogel Arena.
